Module 10
Many thanks to Helen and Diane for designing this course. It was easy to follow - you must have been beginners at one stage too and you still remember to include all the little steps.
I'm feeling a bit saturated at the moment and I guess, like most resources, I will pick and choose what suits me and what I feel most comfortablw with using.
I would like to show you tube stuff to my students and get them to do a poster in glogster as a title page. I would also like them to collaborate on experimental reports via a wiki and then submit the finished product to me. I envisage using the wiki as a check of their log books for the write up.

Module 9
Couldn't get onto scootle - I know we have a user and name and password at school so I'll try when I'm back there because there are some good looking resources for the kids.
Second life will take some work - not sure how I'll apply it to teaching science but I did send it to my son who is into virtual reality games.
I already have a facebook account - set that up to keep in contact with my neices who are all outside of my town.
I'll pass on twitter for a while because I don't have much to say and no one will read it anyway - I'm no Zac Effron!
I'm thinking I could get my students to use glogster for the titlepage of their Science topic or assessment task. They would really like that.

Module 8
I was surprised to realise that I had access to a reader account. Then, by having so many new tabs opened, I learned that so many of these things are linked to the original igoogle account. The dashboard is where I post these blogs but my account has a list of all the other things like google docs, reader and igoogle. Now I'll have to check what else is there and if there is an equivalent that I haven't activated, like bubbl.us.
I do like this business of having everything in one place. It's just like Lee says in Commoncraft - getting rid of all the clutter.

Module 7
This is really useful. I work on computers all over the place and not only is it difficult to remember what sites I've bookmarked , but also where I've bookmarked them. In the end, I stopped adding favourites because it was easier to use a search engine to find them again. But, we all know what happens there - cannot find that exact same source of information.
I did add a couple of bookmarks to my delicious site but I had set up the account at an inservice and didn't tick the tag and delicious boxes so I have to transfer the URL the long way. I'm looking through my favourites on this particular computer and having a bit of a chuckle - there is one bookmark for felting sheeps wool from several years ago. So I'm hoping that having all bookmarks in categories on delicious will encourage me to keep up with the housekeeping.
Couldn't access the other two delicious sites that were available but I have been to the Everton fan's delicious page and got some really useful references for my son's history assignment.
I've also noticed that google offers the same transferability and storage tool which may become my preferred repository because I may then be able to add the bookmark section as a gadget in my igoogle account. One thing leads to another....

Module 6
Had a lot of fun with this and am keen to learn how to use the glogster with students. I'm not keen on mind maps and am not creative enough to make a poster. Did try to do one for Science Week but I lost interest as no one would see it anyway. I can see students enjoying this and see that later items can be put on a wiki and edited, so that would be good.

Module 5
I couldn't get onto itunesU or the Wikipedia site but I did go to U tube where I found a podcast (several, in fact) on catalysts.
I have been looking for an interactive, applet or animation for weeks with no luck but here I found a good animation plus heaps of students' activities which I can direct my class to for a bit of fun. Also, found a teacher demo that I had forgotten about, so it finished up all good.
PS If anyone does know of an interactive for teaching catalysts, please let me know.
